Corporate & Regulatory Standing

We operate with full legal and financial transparency as a premier Indonesian tourism provider.

  • Legal Entity: Sumba Wellness is a premier brand managed by PT Juara Pariwisata Nusantara, a fully incorporated Indonesian Limited Liability Company (Perseroan Terbatas) under the governance of our parent, Juara Holding Group.
  • Tourism Operator License (SIUP Pariwisata): We hold a valid and current Tanda Daftar Usaha Pariwisata (TDUP) / Surat Izin Usaha Perdagangan (SIUP) for tour and travel services, issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif). This license confirms our legal authority to operate throughout Indonesia.
  • Taxpayer Identification (NPWP): Our company is a registered taxpayer in the Republic of Indonesia, fulfilling all fiscal obligations and contributing to the national economy.
  • Employee Social Security (BPJS): In compliance with Indonesian labor law, all our permanent staff are registered with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (social security) and BPJS Kesehatan (universal healthcare), ensuring their welfare and legal protection.

Operational Safety Protocols

From the moment you arrive until your departure, your safety is our highest priority.

  • Transportation Safety: Our fleet of 4×4 vehicles (primarily Toyota Land Cruisers and Fortuners) undergoes mandatory monthly maintenance by certified mechanics. Each vehicle is equipped with a GPS tracking device, a satellite phone for communication in off-grid areas, a comprehensive first-aid kit, and a fire extinguisher. All our drivers are professionally licensed and have completed certified defensive driving courses.
  • Aviation Partnerships: For all commercial air travel, we work with IATA-certified airlines like Garuda Indonesia. For private air charters, we exclusively engage operators holding a valid Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from Indonesia’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), ensuring strict adherence to maintenance and safety standards.
  • Emergency Action Plan (EAP): We have a detailed EAP for various scenarios. Our senior guides are certified as Wilderness First Responders (WFR). We maintain a standing agreement with a leading international medical evacuation service (e.g., International SOS) for immediate helicopter evacuation to Bali or beyond in case of a serious medical emergency.
  • Food and Water Hygiene: All partner lodges and caterers are vetted for their food safety standards, based on HACCP principles, to prevent foodborne illnesses. We provide purified or sealed bottled water at all times.

Industry Accreditations & Best Practices

Our commitment to excellence is reinforced by our affiliation with key industry bodies.

  • ASITA Membership: As proud members of the Association of The Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies, we are bound by a strict code of professional ethics and conduct.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Aspiration: We are currently implementing and documenting our processes in line with ISO 9001:2015 standards for Quality Management Systems. This initiative, driven by our leadership team, formalizes our commitment to consistent service excellence and continuous improvement.
